Choose your skincare manufacturing route

Private label: start from an existing formula

Select a catalogue product and confirm the approved formula version, packaging, artwork and specification. Any fragrance, colour or texture change is reviewed before the scope, sampling and price are agreed.

Explore private label manufacturing→

OEM: provide an authorised formula

Send the formula and technical specification you are entitled to use. Material availability, production transfer, packaging and release requirements need review before the manufacturing scope is confirmed.

Explore OEM manufacturing→

ODM: develop from a brief

Define the target user, market, texture, requested ingredients and intended cosmetic claims. Development, sample rounds and testing are scoped separately from bulk production.

Explore ODM development→

The route defines the work involved; it does not automatically set formula ownership, exclusivity, test coverage or a launch date. Record those terms in the project quotation and agreement.

What to send for a skincare quotation

A usable brief lets us review the product and packaging together. If a detail is undecided, identify it rather than treating it as an agreed specification.

  • Product group and target market, including intended cosmetic claims.
  • Existing catalogue product or formula route, requested ingredients, texture and fragrance direction.
  • Fill size and preferred container, dispenser, decoration and outer packaging.
  • Estimated quantity for each SKU and the number of variants.
  • Target launch window and the testing, batch documents or market documents you need.

Sample timing, any development fees, testing responsibility and production scheduling are confirmed after the brief is reviewed. A production lead time is not the full interval from first contact to market launch.

Skincare project checkpoints

Formula and cosmetic claims

Review requested ingredients, raw-material documentation and destination-market restrictions together. Any delivery-system proposal, patent reference or performance claim needs evidence for the specific project before it is quoted or published.

Review development and technology scope→

Formula and packaging compatibility

Select the container, closure and dispensing format with the formula. Compatibility work, samples, decoration and component minimums are confirmed for the final configuration.

Review packaging options→

Testing and batch release

Routine manufacturing checks are not the same as formal stability, safety, compatibility or claim studies. Define test methods, responsibilities, samples, reports and batch-release documents for the order.

Review quality and testing scope→

Review the factory's certification scope and quality-control process alongside the product brief. A factory certificate does not approve every formula, claim or destination market.

Sample Timing Per Project

Use the selected product's published MOQ, unit and production range as the starting point. Many routine formats start at 3,000 units per SKU; sheet masks and patches commonly list 5,000–10,000 sheets, while freeze-dried sets list 3,000–5,000 sets. Custom components and formats quoted by project are confirmed separately.

Routine bulk production is planned after the sample, formula, packaging, artwork and order details are approved. Specialist formats may need a longer product-specific range. Development, sample preparation, courier transit and destination-market work are separate from this production interval.

Questions buyers ask about skincare manufacturing

What is the minimum order quantity for a skincare product?

MOQ is confirmed per SKU and format, not across a mixed order. Many routine liquid and cream products list 3,000 units per SKU; sheet masks and patches list 5,000–10,000 sheets, and freeze-dried sets list 3,000–5,000 sets. Check the selected product and packaging, because custom components and project-based formats can have different minimums.

Which skincare formats can I review in the catalogue?

The groups on this page include cleansers, makeup removers, toners, serums, essence lotions, face creams, eye care, face mists, face masks, sun care, freeze-dried sets, collagen patches and herbal-care products. Each product has its own specification. Availability, formula route, market suitability and the final manufacturing scope are reviewed for the selected item.

Do I have to use an advanced delivery system?

No. Start with the product brief and requested ingredients. Where a delivery-system option is proposed, the technical documentation, permitted use and evidence for the intended claim are reviewed for that project. A licence or performance claim is not assumed from an ingredient name or a general platform description.

Can I request a botanical or hydrosol-based formula?

You can include that direction in the brief. The raw-material grade, origin, specification, preservation needs and supporting documentation are reviewed with the formula. The quotation confirms the agreed base rather than assuming every product uses a hydrosol or that the ingredient is produced in-house.

How are requested actives and suppliers confirmed?

Tell us the requested ingredients, intended cosmetic claims and destination market. Material grade, availability, supplier documentation and formula suitability are confirmed during review. A named ingredient does not guarantee a particular supplier partnership, patent licence or finished-product effect.

Will I review a sample before bulk production?

The sample and approval scope are agreed before bulk production. Catalogue availability, preparation time, sample rounds, any development fees, dispatch and courier costs are confirmed for the selected products. Keep the approved formula, sample version and packaging configuration in the order record.

What should I send for a skincare quotation?

Send the product group, target market, formula route or catalogue reference, requested texture and ingredients, fill size, packaging, quantity per SKU and launch window. Identify the tests and documents needed, and mark any unresolved choices so they can be reviewed before quotation.

Are formal product tests included in manufacturing?

Do not assume every study is included. Routine manufacturing checks and separately scoped stability, safety, compatibility, claim or market-specific studies have different purposes. The quotation and test plan identify what is included, who performs it, the samples required and which reports will be delivered.
