Tone-up UV Cream SPF50+ PA++++
An SPF50+ tone-up cream for a no-makeup makeup finish, aimed at the Southeast Asian demand for brightness and radiance in one daytime step. This is the page in our sun range that carries the most claim risk, because it combines two regulated stories, brightening and sun protection, and the honest version of this product is one that is clear about where that combination needs two registrations rather than one.

Key Active Ingredients
How the Active Ingredients Work
We publish tested SPF50+ and PA on the finished product, not filter percentages, because filters are market-regulated actives. The brightening and tone-up functions are described at the appearance level. The combination of a brightening claim with a sun-protection claim is a dual special-cosmetic registration in China and a claim to scope carefully elsewhere, so we treat the claim set as a market decision.
UV filter systemSPF50+ PA++++ tested on finished product
A chemical and physical hybrid filter system for high protection under a tone-up finish. As across the range, it is built to your destination market's permitted filter list and the SPF and PA numbers come from in vivo testing on the finished product, not from a calculation. The hybrid approach helps the tone-up sit evenly, which a purely chemical or purely mineral base makes harder.
Niacinamidebaseline 3% · range 2–5% (headline tier)
INCI: Niacinamide. The active behind the brightening side of the positioning, at the headline tier of 2–5% with 3% as our baseline. This is the ingredient that turns the product from a tinted sunscreen into a brightening-plus-SPF product in regulatory terms, which is exactly why the claim set needs planning: in China that combination is a dual special-cosmetic filing. Korea caps niacinamide at 5%, which sets the top of the band. The ingredient is straightforward; the label claim is the decision.
Brightening / tone-up particlessystem note
The instant radiance comes from optical tone-up particles, which is an appearance effect that washes off rather than an active treatment. We keep the instant optical effect and the niacinamide's gradual appearance benefit described separately, because collapsing them into one claim is what inflates the regulatory burden without adding real benefit. Shade and finish set per project and judged on sample.
Centella and Hyaluronic Acidsupporting system
INCI: Centella Asiatica Extract and Sodium Hyaluronate. These carry the skin-comfort half of a daytime product worn in place of makeup, so it stays wearable through the day. Both are set per project and confirmed on sample rather than quoted to a band, because a tinted sunscreen sits across the reference categories for either ingredient. Described in terms of comfort and finish rather than a treatment claim.

Frequently Asked Questions
What makes this the highest-claim-risk product in your sun range?
It combines two regulated claims in one product: sun protection and brightening. Each is manageable alone, but together they raise the registration burden, most sharply in China where a brightening-plus-SPF product is a dual special-cosmetic filing. The product is easy to formulate; the work is in deciding, per market, whether to carry the active brightening claim or to sell it as a tinted sunscreen with a lighter claim set.
Can we sell this as brightening in China?
You can, but plan for a dual special-cosmetic registration, because a claim that combines whitening or brightening with sun protection falls under two regulated categories at once. That is slower and costs more than a single filing. The alternative is to lead with the tone-up and sun-protection claims, which is a lighter route, and reserve the active brightening claim for markets where the filing is justified by the sales. We will lay out both options.
Is the brightening instant or gradual?
Both, and we keep them separate on the label. The instant part is an optical tone-up from the finish particles, which washes off. The gradual part is the niacinamide working at the appearance level over time. Blurring the two into a single strong claim inflates your regulatory exposure without giving the customer anything extra, so we describe them as the two distinct things they are.
Why won't you give the filter or niacinamide percentages on the page?
Filters are market-regulated actives, so a percentage without its market context is misleading and implies a single global formula, which does not exist for sunscreen. Niacinamide we run at a 2–5% band across the range, but on a dual-claim product the exact level interacts with your registration strategy, so it is set per project. The full quantitative formula goes into each market's dossier.
What are the MOQ and lead time?
MOQ is 2,000–3,000 bottles per SKU and lead time is 45–60 days including stability and in vivo SPF testing. If you are registering the brightening-plus-SPF claim in China or a similar market, add the dual-registration timeline on top, and we will estimate it during briefing. Production runs across 13 lines at 200,000 units per day.
