OEM Contract Manufacturing
You own the formula. We handle everything else — from raw material procurement to finished product, packaged and shipped to your door. 13 production lines, 200,000 units daily capacity, ISO 22716 & GMPC certified.
What Is Cosmetics OEM Manufacturing?
Cosmetics OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) manufacturing is a production model where you supply a finished, proven formula and the factory produces it to your exact specifications under your own brand. You keep full ownership of the formula and all intellectual property. The manufacturer supplies everything else: certified facility, production equipment, skilled labor, raw material procurement, quality systems, packaging, and export logistics.
This model is the right fit for beauty brands, distributors, and retailers that already have a formula they trust, or a benchmark product they want reproduced, and need a reliable partner to manufacture it at scale. Instead of building a factory, hiring chemists, and navigating cosmetic regulations alone, you leverage an established GMPC-certified operation and focus your resources on branding, marketing, and sales.
At GZ Cosmetics Lab, our OEM service runs on 13 dedicated production lines with a capacity of 200,000 units per day, inside a 100K-class cleanroom certified to ISO 22716 and GMPC standards. We manufacture skincare, body care, hair care, sun care, and color cosmetics, and we handle the full journey from raw material sourcing to a packaged product ready to ship to your market.

OEM Key Facts
Frequently Asked Questions About Cosmetics OEM
Common questions from brands sourcing cosmetics OEM contract manufacturing in China.
What is cosmetics OEM manufacturing?+
Cosmetics OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) is a manufacturing model where you supply the finished product formula and specifications, and the factory produces it under your brand. You retain full ownership of the formula and intellectual property, while the manufacturer provides the facility, equipment, raw material sourcing, production, quality control, and packaging. OEM is the right choice for brands that already have a proven formula and want reliable, certified production at scale.
What is the difference between OEM and ODM in cosmetics?+
With OEM, you provide the formula and the factory manufactures it exactly to your specification. With ODM (Original Design Manufacturer), the factory develops the formula for you based on your brief, and you brand and sell the finished product. Choose OEM when you own a formula and need production; choose ODM when you need the manufacturer's R&D team to create the formula. Many brands combine both across different SKUs.
What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ) for OEM production?+
Our standard MOQ starts from 2,000 units per SKU for most skincare, body care, and hair care formats. Sheet masks and collagen patches typically start at 5,000–10,000 sheets per SKU, freeze-dried sets at 3,000–5,000 sets, and fragrances from 1,000–2,000 units. Exact MOQ depends on the product type, packaging, and raw materials. Contact us with your product brief for an exact quotation.
How long does OEM cosmetics production take?+
Typical production lead time is 35 to 60 days after sample approval and order confirmation, depending on formulation complexity, packaging sourcing, and order volume. Sampling adds roughly 1 to 2 weeks before production begins. We provide real-time progress updates throughout manufacturing.
Do you provide free samples for OEM orders?+
Yes. We include two rounds of free sampling covering raw materials and simple packaging so you can evaluate texture, performance, and quality before committing to full production. Custom packaging samples and specialized raw materials may involve additional costs, which we confirm in advance.
What certifications does your OEM facility hold?+
Our facility is ISO 22716 (Cosmetics Good Manufacturing Practice) and GMPC certified, with both certificates issued by Intertek. SGS testing is supported upon request. We produce in a 100K-class cleanroom environment and provide a Certificate of Analysis (COA) with every batch. We also support documentation for EU CPNP, NMPA (China), ASEAN, and US market compliance.
Can you help with regulatory compliance for my target market?+
Yes. We provide documentation and technical support for EU CPNP notification, NMPA registration in China, ASEAN cosmetics notification, and US market requirements. Our regulatory team ensures your finished products meet the requirements of your destination markets before shipment.
