How the Active Ingredients Work
A hydrating sheet mask is judged in the ten minutes it is on the face, so the formulation problem is different from a leave-on product: the serum has to feel substantial without turning tacky as it dries down, and it has to stay clear and stable inside a foil sachet for two years in a hot climate. The baseline below is our standard ODM starting point, adjustable for your target market and price point.
Sodium Hyaluronate (multi-weight)0.1–0.5% (total)
A blend of low and high molecular weight grades. The honest position on this: high molecular weight hyaluronic acid does not meaningfully penetrate, so we do not claim it hydrates at different skin depths — what the blend actually buys you is the immediate plumped look and the slip that makes a mask feel expensive. Total use level above roughly 0.5% turns the serum stringy and the sheet harder to unfold, which customers read as a defect.
Trehalosehumectant, level set by texture
A disaccharide humectant that holds water without the tack that comes from pushing glycerin higher. It is the quieter half of the moisture system and the reason this serum can carry a high water-binding load and still dry down cleanly.
Sodium PCAhumectant
A component of skin’s own natural moisturising factor, used here for surface water-binding. It is highly hygroscopic, which is useful in the formula and also the reason the raw material handling matters in a humid factory environment.
Glycerinhumectant base
The workhorse humectant and the main cost-efficiency lever in the moisture system. Raising it is the cheapest way to make a mask feel richer; past a point it also makes it feel sticky, so we set it against the finish you want rather than to a fixed number.

What is the MOQ and lead time?
MOQ is 5,000–10,000 sheets per SKU, which works out to roughly 500–2,000 retail boxes depending on whether you box 5 or 10 sheets. Production runs 45–55 days after sample approval and custom sample rounds take 2–3 weeks. The minimum is counted in sheets rather than boxes — the most common misreading of a sheet mask quote. Box configuration is entirely yours to set: 5, 10, or any other count that suits your price point and channel, and single-sachet retail is equally workable. Since the minimum is counted in sheets, changing the sheets-per-box changes how many retail units you end up with, not the size of the order.
Which sheet material should we choose?
Tencel is the practical default: it drapes well, holds serum, and keeps unit cost sensible. Biocellulose clings more closely and reads as premium at a meaningfully higher cost per sheet. Since the serum does the hydrating work either way, the material is mainly a positioning and price decision rather than a performance one.
How much serum should each sheet carry?
This one carries 25–30ml, enough to saturate the sheet and leave residual serum for the neck. Cutting the fill is the fastest way to lower cost and also the fastest way to get reviews calling the mask thin, so it is not where we would usually recommend saving.
Will it survive shipping and storage in a hot market?
Accelerated stability testing on the finished formula is run before production, and the foil sachet is doing real work here — it blocks light and water loss in a way a clear film cannot. Worth noting that a hydrating serum has no oxidation-sensitive active in it, which makes this format considerably easier to stabilise than a vitamin C or glutathione mask.
Is it certified for export?
