How the Active Ingredients Work
Filter percentages are not published; filters are market-regulated actives, so we specify tested SPF50+ and PA on the finished product. A stick's filter system also has to survive being cast into a solid that stays stable in a hot bag, which is a format constraint on top of the market one, and the system is built for both.

This is the real engineering in a sun stick. The wax and oil structure has to deposit enough product for the SPF to hold, glide without dragging, and not soften into a puddle at tropical ambient temperatures. Can we reapply it over makeup?
Yes, and that is the main use case the format is built for. A stick deposits over makeup without the smearing a lotion causes, which is why it works for daytime reapplication. We tune the glide so it lays down cleanly rather than dragging the makeup underneath.
