How the Active Ingredients Work
Body application changes the brief. A face serum is dosed in drops; a body lotion covers a far larger area, so the same active percentage costs much more per use and the texture has to stay light enough to spread over arms and legs in a humid climate. The baseline below is our standard ODM starting point for a body format, adjustable for your target market and price point.
Glutathionebaseline 0.5% · range 0.3–1.0%
Our body baseline sits below the 1.0% we use in a face serum, and that is a cost and sensory decision rather than a different view of the ingredient. Published topical work on reduced glutathione does not establish a dose-response curve, so there is no evidence that a higher body percentage buys a proportionally better result. What does change with concentration is the sulfur note: glutathione’s thiol group releases hydrogen sulfide, and measured release rises with concentration, which reads differently on a product spread over the whole body than on a few drops of serum. For topical use only — this is a leave-on cosmetic, not the injectable form, which is not approved for skin lightening in the Philippines.
Niacinamidebaseline 3.0% · range 2.0–5.0%
Vitamin B3 reduces the transfer of pigment to surface skin cells, so tone looks more even over time. We set the body baseline at 3%, the same hero-tier level we use on face products, and a lotion is applied in much larger amounts, and within this range the level is a tolerability and cost decision. Korea caps niacinamide at 5% in its functional-cosmetic framework, so the top of this range is also the ceiling for a Korean filing. A 2% version is available for brands whose promise is sensitive-skin comfort.
Vitamin C derivative (MAP)baseline 1.0% · range 0.5–2.0%
Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate is far more stable in formulation than pure L-ascorbic acid and contributes to a more even-looking tone. It is added to the water phase, and in an emulsion the water phase is only part of the formula, so the final target pH is confirmed per project against the other actives. Accelerated stability testing for tropical-climate shipping is run on the finished formula before production.
Shea Butterlow ratio, adjustable
Shea butter is the lever that sets whether the lotion reads as light or rich. A higher level improves the after-feel on dry skin but slows absorption; a lower level gives the fast-absorbing finish buyers in tropical markets ask for. We set it against the finish you want rather than to a fixed number.
Hyaluronic Acid0.1–0.3% (total)
A supporting humectant rather than a brightening active. It offsets the moisture loss that daily washing causes and keeps the after-feel comfortable across large areas.

What is the minimum order quantity?
MOQ is 2,000–3,000 bottles per SKU, counted per fill size — 200ml, 300ml and 500ml are three SKUs. As a general baseline across our range, minimums start from 1,000 to 3,000 units per SKU depending on the product and level of customization. The sachet format is quoted separately and is the lower-commitment way to test a new market.
Why is the glutathione level lower than in your face serum?
A body lotion is applied over a much larger area, so the same percentage costs significantly more per use and the sulfur note becomes more noticeable. The level is adjustable if your positioning calls for a higher one.
Can I add tranexamic acid or other brightening actives?
Yes. The brightening system is adjustable, and we confirm each addition against your destination market rules before sampling.
How long does sampling and production take?
Custom sample rounds take 2–3 weeks and bulk production runs 35–45 days after sample approval. If you are launching more than one fill size, note that 200ml, 300ml and 500ml are separate filling setups, so a three-size launch is not the same production job as one size in three times the volume.
Is it certified for export?
Manufacturing is ISO 22716 and GMPC compliant, SGS testing is supported on request, and we confirm ingredient compliance against your destination market before sampling. For glutathione specifically, the Philippines requires topical products to be presented separately from injectable glutathione, and we mark the formula for external use only. If you plan to add tranexamic acid to the brightening system, its status differs by market and we confirm it before sampling.
