Premium (Fragrance)
Floral Fruity Fragrance Body Wash
A fragrance-led body wash for the premium shelf, where the accord and the bottle are doing most of the selling. The formula still matters, because a thin wash undermines an expensive-looking pack faster than anything else, but the decision that shapes cost and timeline here is the accord. Worth knowing before you brief: the fragrance level on a rinse-off product is far lower than most first-time briefs assume, and raising it does not make the scent last longer after the shower. Levels below are our standard ODM starting point, adjustable for your target market and price point.

Key Active Ingredients
How the Active Ingredients Work
A wash where the fragrance is the product and the base exists to carry it convincingly. Levels below are our standard ODM starting point, expressed as a share of the total formula, and adjustable for your target market and price point.
Selected floral-fruity fragrance oilsbaseline 1% · range 0.5–1.5%
Quoted on the compounded fragrance oil basis. Baseline 1% within a 0.5–1.5% band is the industry range for a rinse-off wash, and the top of it is already a strong scent in the shower. Going higher does not extend wear on skin, because most of the product rinses away by design; it raises cost and the fragrance-allergen declaration on your label instead. Longevity in this format comes from accord construction, so we would rather spend a sampling round on the accord than push the percentage.
Mild surfactant systemprimary cleansing system
Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate with Cocamidopropyl Betaine, specified for a dense creamy foam because lather is how a consumer judges whether a premium wash is worth the price. The betaine also carries viscosity, which is why the pour feels substantial rather than watery in a designer bottle.
Moisturizing factorshumectant and emollient system
Glycerin as the primary humectant with a light emollient fraction, tuned so skin feels smooth rather than coated after rinsing. On a fragrance-led product this is the part that stops the wash reading as perfume in a bottle, and it is set on the finished sample rather than calculated.
Formulation & Customization Options
| Service model | ODM on our premium fragranced wash base, or full OEM development |
| Fragrance level | Baseline 1% within 0.5–1.5% for a rinse-off wash; we would advise against exceeding the band, since it adds cost and allergen declaration burden without improving how long the scent stays on skin |
| Accord | Work from your reference sample, from a description, or from our house accords; matching a fragrance you already sell in another format is routine |
| Adjustable elements | Surfactant system and viscosity; pearlescent or clear appearance; humectant and emollient level; sulfate-free on request |
| Packaging | Designer pump bottle at 500ml standard, gift-box ready; 5–10ml sachet for sampling; custom colour, print and secondary packaging |
| Certifications | ISO 22716, GMPC; SGS testing supported upon request. Halal, COSMOS and vegan-positioned formulations can be scoped to your requirement — on a fragranced product the constraint usually lands on the accord itself, so raise it before accord work starts rather than after. |
Who This Product Is Built For
Premium and gift-channel body care
Scent-led wash is one of the formats that sells reliably as a gift, and running two or three accords in one launch gives a range enough shelf presence to justify a set without multiplying the formulation work. Each accord is a separate SKU against the MOQ, so plan the range size against the commitment.
Young urban consumers in Southeast Asia
Getting-ready-to-go-out is the occasion this product is bought for, which is why the accord matters more than any functional claim. It is also one of the easier body-care propositions to film, since the appeal is sensory rather than a before-and-after.
Fragrance lines extending into body care
If you already sell a scent, the matching wash is the natural line extension and the accord work is largely done. Expect the character to read lighter than the same accord in a lotion or eau de toilette, which is normal for a rinse-off format. The Fragrance Long-Lasting Softening Body Lotion is the retained counterpart, and the two together give a layering story that sells better than either alone.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the MOQ and lead time?
MOQ is 2,000–3,000 bottles per SKU and lead time is 35–45 days after sample approval, with sampling at 2–3 weeks. Each fragrance counts as a separate SKU because the accord goes in at the compounding stage, so a three-scent range is three SKUs rather than one.
How do we make the scent last on skin after showering?
Not by raising the percentage, which is the usual first instinct. Most of a wash rinses away by design, so wear time comes from accord construction, particularly the base notes, and from pairing the wash with a retained product in the same scent. A matching lotion does more for perceived longevity than any increase in the wash would, and it sells as a second unit rather than as a cost.
What fragrance level should we choose?
Baseline 1% covers most briefs, within a 0.5–1.5% band for a rinse-off wash. For reference, the same accord would sit at 0.5–2% in a body lotion, 1–3% in a body mist and 5–15% in an eau de toilette, so 1% in a wash is the correct build for the format rather than a weak one. If the brief is a lightly scented everyday product, 0.5% is a legitimate choice rather than a cost saving.
Do we need to declare fragrance allergens?
In the EU, yes. Listed fragrance allergens must appear in the ingredient list above 0.01% in a rinse-off product, and Commission Regulation (EU) 2023/1545 expanded that list considerably. Floral and fruity accords tend to be higher contributors than fresh or musk directions, so we provide the allergen breakdown for the accord you choose and check finished-product values before EU shipment.
Can you match a fragrance we already sell?
Usually yes, and matching across formats is work we do regularly. Send a reference sample if you have one, or a description and direction if you do not. Where an exact match is not achievable in a surfactant base we will say so rather than ship something close and let you find out at first production, since some accords behave differently in a wash than in an alcohol or oil base.
Should the wash be pearlescent or clear?
A commercial choice rather than a technical one. Pearlescent reads as rich and creamy and hides slight colour variation between batches, which is useful with natural extracts. Clear suits a minimal or premium-modern pack and lets a tinted formula show. We will send both on the same accord so the decision is made with the bottle in hand.
