Cool Sculpt Firming Cream
A leave-on massage cream built around caffeine and menthol for the Southeast Asian body-care shelf, where a heavy, greasy cream gets returned. It is the cool-sensation build in our contouring line, written at the appearance level throughout: visibly firms and smooths the look of skin.

Key Active Ingredients
How the Active Ingredients Work
Caffeine sits in four very different places depending on the format it goes into, and a leave-on body cream is the one with the most room to work with. The baseline below is our standard for a cool-sensation firming cream; we set the working level against your claim set and your destination market before sampling.
Caffeinebaseline 3% · range 2–3.5%
INCI: Caffeine. Water-soluble, so it goes into the water phase before emulsification and needs no special heat handling in a standard cream process. Our tiering for leave-on body creams runs support level 1–2%, hero level 2–3.5% with a 3% baseline, and a high-load version above 3.5% up to 7% where the brief calls for a flagship SKU. We publish 3% as the baseline because it is the level a hero firming cream is normally built at; the 2–3.5% band is the hero range we publish against, with the support and high-load tiers available on brief.
Mentholbaseline 0.5% · range 0.3–1%
INCI: Menthol. This is what delivers the cool hit, and the level is a sensory decision more than an efficacy one. Our tiers are 0.05–0.3% for a light cooling edge and scent modification, 0.3–1% baseline 0.5% for a clear cooling body product, and 1–3% for strong cold-sensation neck, shoulder and leg products. In the US we describe menthol as a cooling sensation and nothing beyond that. Separate EU terpene restrictions apply to products for children under three, so a kids-adjacent brief is scoped as a different formula rather than a relabel of this one.
L-Carnitinebaseline 2% · range 1–5%
INCI: Carnitine. Used alongside caffeine as the second active in the system rather than as a standalone story. Our tiers are 0.5–1% at support level and 1–5% baseline 2% where it is part of the headline pairing. Claim discipline matters here more than the number: the language we support is appearance-level throughout, and for US-facing SKUs we keep the product name in Sculpting or Firming territory.
Seaweed extractsupporting ingredient
Included as a supporting botanical for the marine-and-cooling story this format is usually sold on. We keep it as a support ingredient and set the exact level and species per project, rather than positioning it as a headline active with a number attached. If your brief needs seaweed as the front-of-pack hero, tell us and we will quote it on a different basis.

Who This Product Is Built For
Southeast Asian e-commerce body lines
The light, non-greasy texture is the point in Thailand, the Philippines and Indonesia, where a rich cream gets returned. Available in tube for the 150–200g e-commerce size that moves best on those platforms.
Brands that need the cooling variant of a two-SKU set
Sold as a pair with our Heat Sculpt Firming Cream, cool and warm versions give a brand two SKUs off one development cycle. We keep the actives system consistent across both so the pair reads as one line.
Massage and spa retail
Leave-on massage creams sell well as a retail take-home attached to a treatment. Bulk and professional sizes are quotable on the same base.
Frequently Asked Questions
What caffeine level should we go with?
For a hero firming cream, 3% is where we would start, and that is the baseline this page is written at. If caffeine is a supporting story rather than the headline, 1–2% is enough and costs less. If you want a flagship SKU that outspecs the shelf, we can go above 3.5% up to 7%. The hero band we publish against is 2–3.5%, and we confirm the final level at sampling.
What claims can we make on a body contouring cream?
The frame we work in is appearance-level: visibly firms and smooths the look of skin. That holds across every market we ship to, and it is what keeps a cosmetic product inside the cosmetic category. Anything that describes changing body composition rather than the look of skin belongs to a different regulatory route with a registration file behind it. For US-facing SKUs we also keep the product name in Sculpting or Firming territory, because the name itself carries claim weight.
How strong is the cooling sensation, and can it be changed?
The standard build sits in the 0.3–1% menthol band, which reads as a clear cool hit without being uncomfortable on a large area. We can drop to 0.05–0.3% for a light version or go to 1–3% for a strong cold-sensation product aimed at legs, neck and shoulders. In copy this stays a cooling sensation at every tier.
Is this suitable for products aimed at children?
Not as it stands. The EU has separate restrictions covering terpenes including menthol in products for children under three, so a kids-adjacent brief needs a different formula rather than a relabel of this one. Tell us the age bracket at the briefing stage and we will scope it properly.
What are the MOQ and lead time?
MOQ is 2,000–3,000 tubes per SKU and lead time is 45–55 days after sample approval. Sampling runs ahead of that and we confirm the caffeine and menthol levels on the approved sample. This is our standard ODM baseline, adjustable for your target market and price point.
